Our rigging artist will work out multiple tests for the character setup, including facial blendshape to make sure we push every envelope in the animation possibilities. Several testing would allow the rigger to make improvement on the rigging system, he believes that a good rigging is always a motivation to the animator. That’s why he always wanted to go for extra miles and below are two animation tests that he did before the actual production.


When the model and rigging were completed, animation team started to animate the scenes. Thanks to the well preparation forehand, they only took a week to complete the animation, of course there were rounds of refinement within the week. The approved scene will then pass to our lighting and rendering artist. In this project, we explored new method in lighting, which is combining final gather with image based lighting. We found that this method actually give us a worthy result in the sense of quality and time.
